About Sherif El Refai

An ambitious professional in the pharmaceutical industry, Sherif Mohamed El-Refai seeks to become a specialist in the area of cancer treatment. Particularly interested in chemotherapy, he aspires to work as a consultant for highly complex cases. Currently, Sherif Mohamed El-Refai serves as a pharmacist in Jersey City, New Jersey. An active member of his field, Sherif Mohamed El-Refai is dedicated to continually increasing his clinical knowledge and his understanding of the industry.

Sherif Mohamed El-Refai earned his undergraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and went on to obtain his Doctor of Pharmacy at the Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina in 2011. Before achieving his current position as a pharmacist in New Jersey, Sherif El-Refai completed numerous clerkships in his field. Early in his training, he completed an Introductory Hospital Rotation at WakeMed Hospitals in Raleigh, North Carolina, under the Pharmacy Manager. More recently, he completed a clerkship in ICU Trauma at Pitt County Memorial Hospital as well as a clerkship in Clinical Pathways in Oncology at the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospitals. He has also completed training in Medication Safety, Ambulatory Care, Internal Medicine, and Hematology/Oncology. His professional training includes earning certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery.

In his personal life, Sherif El-Refai enjoys spending his free time playing the guitar, participating in soccer and basketball, and traveling. He is a strong supporter of charitable causes such as Lance Armstrong’s LIVESTRONG, the American Cancer Society, Donate Life, and the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
